
João Teixeira is a Senior Member of the IEEE, Co-Chair of the Young Professionals Activities Committee of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES), and Director of Technological Innovation at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN). His research interests include power electronics, photovoltaic energy systems, electric vehicles, and advanced control systems.
Hub Northeast anchors IEEE Industrial Electronics Society activity across the IEEE Northeast Section and Centro-Norte Brasil Section. The hub coordinates flagship conferences, hands-on workshops, and industry–academia programs across its five cities: Natal, Manaus, Recife, Mossoro, and Salvador.
Our focus areas span Artificial intelligence for industry, Control systems, Industrial Robotics, Cybersecurity, Cyber-physical systems, Battery Management Systems, Smart manufacturing, Renewable energy systems, and young professional development.
