The UFAM Engineering Students Welcome Session 2026 brought together 70+ students for a full morning of learning sessions about artificial intelligence and edge computing, hosted at the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM). The event promoted student engagement, volunteering, networking, and interaction with IEEE leaders, Young Professionals, academics, and industry representatives.
About the workshop
Run by the Manaus node under the IEEE IES Hubs & Nodes program, the workshop provided an opportunity to introduce the Industrial Electronics fields. Participants also engaged with IEEE leaders, industry professionals, Young Professionals, and academics, learning more about the opportunities, benefits, and professional development resources offered by the IES community.
