
Prof. Leandro Buss Becker is an active leader within IEEE IES, serving as a member of the IEEE IES Brazil Activities Committee, Organizer of the IEEE IES Brazilian Members Workshop (2025), and Chairperson of both the IEEE IES Student & Young Professional (SYP) Congress 2026 and the 28th IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT) Congress 2027 Organizing Committees. He has played a key role in strengthening IEEE IES presence in Brazil and promoting engagement across Latin America.
Hub South anchors IEEE Industrial Electronics Society activity across the IEEE South Brazil Section and IEEE Rio de Janeiro Section. The hub connects leading research groups, student communities, and industry partners through technical events, collaborative projects, and industry–academia engagement initiatives across its four cities: Florianópolis, Curitiba, Santa Maria, and Rio de Janeiro.
Our focus areas span cyber-physical systems, embedded and real-time systems, industrial informatics, artificial intelligence, multi-agent systems, software engineering, control systems, aerial robotics, autonomous systems, intelligent manufacturing, and digital transformation for industry.
