The Sydney node was established in February 2026 as one of the founding nodes of Hub Melbourne. Anchored at the University of Sydney with strong ties to UNSW and the local technology industry, it brings together students, researchers, and young professionals across New South Wales.
The node focuses on industrial IoT, embedded and edge systems, and smart infrastructure, and runs a regular calendar of hands-on workshops, industry site visits, and student-branch activities. Sydney works closely with the wider Asia-Pacific hub to connect local talent with regional conferences and mentoring programs.
